Imperial Lao Hat with interlaced cording and jades Lao Hats are handcrafted by American-born artist Heather Daveno, from mostly reclaimed textiles and found objects. Lao, the Chinese word for "old", is a play on words and a reference to these original art pieces as a reclaimed handcraft. Visit the Lao Hats Store to order a custom made creation, or click on "Off the Hat Rack" to see what's currently in stock.
Garden themed linen Lao Hat with grape clusters and ivy leaf appliques Community is important to artists, so you will find a page of links directing you to some of Heather's favorites.
